From Delhi to Katmandu…. From the Taj Mahal to the erotic statues, Buddhism and  Hinduism…. a tour in North India.

 

Day 1: Delhi - Jaipur (250 km)
 Departure towards the Rajasthan. Arrival at Jaipur in the afternoon, and strolls in the streets very animated of the bazaars of the center of the pink city with spare time to discover its multiple gravers there. Transfer in hotel.


 Day 2: Jaipur
Morning time,excursion at the Amber Fort. Then free visit of City Palace,the observatory Jantar Mantar built by Jai Singh II.


 Jour3: Jaipur - Agra (240 km) 
 Route for Agra. On the route, visit of Fatehpur Sikri. Then, route for Agra. Visit of the Red Fort and the Taj Baby. Transfer in hotel.

 Day 4: Agra - Gwalior - Orchha (240 km)
Realy morning, visit of the Taj Mahal. Then road for Gwalior, visit of its fort. In the afternoon, road for Orchha and transfer in hotel.

Day 5: Orchha - Khajuraho (175 km)

 Visit of the medieval city and its sandstone palace After lunch, road for Khajuraho. Transfer in hotel.

 Day 6: Khajuraho
In the morning, visit of the temples, famous for their low-relief illustrating Kamasutra but also other pages of the holy books.

 

Day 7: Khajuraho - Varanasi (Benarès) (plane)
 After lunch, transfer to the airport and take-off for Varanasi, or Benares and visit of the holy city. Transfer in hotel.
  

Day 8: Varanasi
Early morning, excursion on the Ganges for the runrise . After, possibility of excursion in  Sarnath; where the prince Siddartha made its first official discourse as Buddha.
  

Day 9: Varanasi - Kathmandu (plane)
Late morning transfer to the airport, take-off for Kathmandu. Transfer to the hotel.
  

Day 10: Kathmandu  
 Free visit of the city.
  

Day 11: Kathmandu - Patan - Kathmandu (80 km) 
 Departure in the morning for Patan, visit of the city, its temples and its pagodas, visits of a village of Tibetans refugees . Visit workshops of spinning of wool, dyeing and weaving of the carpets Tibetans. The afternoon, back to  Kathmandu, and visit of  the old city, the Buddhist stûpa of Swayambhunath.
 

Day 12: Kathmandu - Delhi
 Free morning and transfer to the airport for the flight for Delhi.
