The culture of Indian subcontinent is closely intertwined with the elephant. Elephants are widely venerated and respected as a wise and gentle soul. We even have a god with Elephant head: Lord Ganesh. If you stay in urban areas during your trip, you will probably see domesticated elephants walking down the street. In their more natural habitat - in National parks and sanctuaries, Elephants are used as transportation for seeing the unique flora and fauna of the region . Uttaranchal  Dehradun – Chilla Duration: 4 days Period: November to march Accommodation : Lodge and camp Itinerary: J 1 : Dehradun – Muhand – Dhaulkhand Early morning transfer to Muhand where the elephants and support crew will meet the group..Begin the first leg of the Safari through forest and villages covering about 22 kms. Lunch en route. Dinner and overnight in tents. J 2 : Dhaulkhand - Ranipur After breakfast depart for Ranipur on elephants, covering about 10 kms through forest and villages.Lunch en route. Dinner and overnight in tents. J 3 : Ranipur  - Chilla After breakfast, leave for Rajaji National Park on elephants, covering about 11 kms through forest and the famous pilgrimage town of Haridwar.Overnight in lodge. J 4 : Rajaji National Park Day at leisure for exploring the park. End of this safari.You can extend it with a trek or rafting.  Rajasthan Jaipur - Samode Duration: 4 days Period : All round the year Accommodation : camp Itinerary: J 1 : Jaipur - Harmara Begin in Jaipur with a royal visit to Amber Fort from where proceed to Aodhi Ramsagar for lunch. Thereafter, continue to Harmara for night camp. J 2 : Harmara -  Chomu Wind your way past scenic Harmara lake, towards Chomu, stopping en route for a picnic lunch and then an early camp. J 3 : Chomu Wind your way through Chomu town, once an important Thikana, and into the sandy tracts that will be your camp for the evening. J 4 : Chomu - Samode Route for Samode, end of the safari.
